Ya book review

A Court Of Thorns And Roses

-By Sarah J. Maas

Okay so lets just say that I Love Sarah J. Maas, she is one of my favourite authors ever.

Then lets move onto how much I loved this book, well of course I loved it, everyone has to (its just life). Well, I don’t know where to start, I don’t think theres anything else to say other than I absolutely loved it. So, I’m just saying, that I never knew this was going to be the last book where Feyre was the protagonist… and I died a little bit when I found this out (okay I died a Lot) I mean I just couldn’t believe it, how can I go through life now?

I understand that Nesta would be a good protagonist, but HOW could Sarah J. Maas do this to me? I love Feyre so much, she’s everything you want in a main character. Like I just can’t get over it, there is so much more that needs to be read with her story line… I’m just so shocked we won’t be reading as Feyre anymore. But anyway, I suppose I still love Sarah J. Mass a little bit. Okay I admit I’m still obsessed with her books.

However if I’m reviewing this book, then it was amazing and I loved it.

Also when you’ve read this, then theres a teaser for the next book in A Court Of Thorns And Roses series. Maybe ill just have to grow to love Nesta. Okay I actually feel a lot better about the next book, now that I’ve done this review 🙂 Yay.

So heres my review, you’ll probably guess my rating anyway, but here it is:e1bd199b-8ee7-42f7-8178-94080a7331b1.png

5 hearts (or stars, whatever) Overall I loved this book, I think it brought a little bit of closure, with the trilogy and yeah… it was good (read it) 🙂

Okay I just got really exited because I didn’t realise it is being released tomorrow…

but I have another book series Im reading currently 😦

UGH Ill just have to read ‘A Court of Frost And Starlight’ in a couple days (how can I cope?)

A Reaper At The Gates

By Sabaa Tahir

-Release date: 14th June 2018

Let me just start by saying that I LOVE these book, they are literally the best, I couldn’t love them any more than I do. I think the story lines amazing! Not to mention the Laia is amazing, you couldn’t ask for a better protagonist.

Overall this book is just… great? Great doesn’t even describe it!

Okay the only thing I a little worried about is that the protagonist is shared between Laia and Helene.

I just don’t know what to feel about that, I really want to love Helene… I just don’t know if I can. But despite that, this book is sure to be AMAZING!

Kingdom Of ash

By Sarah J. Mass

Release Date: 23rd October 2018

Here we go again (shocker) to Sarah J. Mass.

Okay how can I not post about Kingdom Of Ash… Its the LAST book in the throne of glass series (Im just going to go cry now) I can’t believe it! What will I do with my life after this book? (probably read fan fiction about throne of glass) THAT will be my life after this book. Like, I do have A court of Thorns And Roses…but still it hurts, it hurts a lot.

Okay it probably doesn’t hurt as much as reading the last book in “Vampire Academy… but it still cuts deep) Anyway, despite all the agony of this book series ending, I am so exited ! I can’t even believe Sara even ended the last book like that.

She literally threw me of a cliff… thats how much of a cliff hanger the ending was.

But yeah, just so exited to read this, even though its months away, I can’t wait.

So, I’m gonna go read a book, BYE!

Ya book review

Flawed- Ceclia Ahern

Okay so I read this book couple weeks ago and thought would be a good idea to blog about it now, so I don’t forget everything…that wouldn’t be good.

Anyway here we go:

Title- Flawed

Author- Cecelia Ahern

Celestine North lives a perfect life. She’s a model daughter and sister, she’s well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she’s dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.

But then Celestine encounters a situation where she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found flawed.

In her breathtaking young adult debut, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society where perfection is paramount and flaws lead to punishment. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.

Rating: 01a47f69-cae7-4a66-a407-f562da5730da.png

Why I rated it 5 stars-

Okay so I only rated this book 3 stars, not because I didn’t like it… just because a lot happened, but it also didn’t.

That probably doesn’t make any sense, but I feel like the overall book could have been a bit more exiting, where I couldn’t put down the book…but I did quite a lot 😦

I’m just not too sure what to think of Celestine and her choices she made and WHY did she go to Logan house?! It just made me want to cry at how obvious something was going to go wrong… then she saw something.

Im not going to say, because that would be a spoiler (obviously) but I think it brought the book back to life a bit, and I actually loved the rest of the book. I just have to say it landed on a cliff hanger and your have to read the second book to find out what it was.

These are the last lines in the book:

“I follow my mother’s advice.

I run.”

I have to admit that I loved the ending, I loved how you have to read the second book to find out what happened…but gotta be honest, it wasn’t that exiting where she ended up (in case you wanted to know)

My ‘what I loved’ list is below:

  • I loved Celestine’s Mother, she went a little bit crazy
  • Her grandad is just so ADORABLE!
  • I kinda liked Carrick (but eh)
  • I loved the overall idea of the book and how its set
  • I loved how her perception of other people changed during the novel
  • I loved Celestine and how she coped with everything!

Okay so I liked the book, I’m glad I read it.  I would recommend this book but I wouldn’t be like “you have to read this book because you can’t live without it” its more like “yeah you should read this book, its good”

So yeah I would read this book if I were you, but its not an urgent read like Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.                                IMG_1258

Oh by the way, this is Georgie… she likes to investigate

Red Queen Book Review

Okay, so this is my first book review and hopefully it won’t be awful, but there’s always a possibility, positive thoughts right?

Title- Red Queen

Author- Victoria Aveyard

Book Synopsis-

Mare Barrow’s world is divided by blood—those with red and those with silver. Mare and her family are lowly Reds, destined to serve the Silver Elite whose supernatural abilities make them nearly gods.

Okay, so I got this synopsis from wiki, I thought okay, lets just write my thoughts, opinions and wishes. So I read this book ages ago, like at the beginning of 2017, so I’m just going of memory here. However I read the 3rd book a couple of months ago and thought it was amazing.

Whenever I first read a book, I always go on Pinterest and look at the general aesthetic of the book. Can I just tell you how amazing some of the Pinterest boards are, like you NEED to check it out because I was obsessed.

Anyway, back to the book, when I first started reading it, I kind of just fell in love with Mare (The main character who is one of my favourite protagonist ever!) (aside from Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy) Mare is one of those characters that you always love but just want to shake her because of the many bad decisions she has made, but learned from (thank god)

She has such strong opinions as well, even from the first few words in the book:

“I hate First Friday”

Yep these were literally the first words in the book, and how can you not love her all ready? She’s not afraid to take what she want either (literally) and I just love that about her. Also she’s not blind to the real world either, she knows there’s not going to be a happy ever after and she accepted it… until her whole life completely changes.

Oh and when I say her life changes, it really does.

UGH! I dont want to give anything away, and its really hard because I just want to blurt everything out right now! But i’ll be good and just leave it at that.

Okay so I basically loved everything about this book, here a little list 🙂

  • I loved Mare so much its crazy
  • I loved Cal, it was good for the first 3 books
  • I loved Maven, but it didn’t last
  • Is it bad I loved Queen Elara?
  •  Also Mare’s brothers bring a new level of love for this book series

Okay so an overall review Is that I adored Red Queen, it shows the divide between Red bloods and Silver blood and how life is so contrastingly different including wealth, how each person is treated differently depending on the colour of their blood and how new bloods are brought into this world and are hidden under the pretence of being a silver blood as everything they know is well, basically crippled (basically).

If you have read this book, would you change anything?

(feel free to leave a comment… if you want, you don’t have to)

(no pressure)

I would 100% recommend this book to anyone, I feel like all ages would love this book and should give it a try as there is something for everyone to love. Can I just say how amazing this book cover is by the way… like wow!

Okay thanks so much, I hope this helps and I will defo do another blog post tomorrow ❤

Oh and by the way, the adorable dog above is Buster and I can’t not put pictures of him in my blog…there all also be Cat appearances as well xxx

(If your wondering my cat and dog do get a long…most of the time?)

I hope you like pets

The Journey Begins

Thanks so, so much for joining me!

This para is just going to be a quick intro about me… nothing to personal though.

So basically I’m a young teen and am now obsessed with books, I love talking about books to people, but nobody actually gets it. So that’s why I’m doing this, all I want for the blog is to get subscribers who I can obsess about books with, however I would also love to express my opinion on my fave Ya book series and novels.

Im new (obviously from the title) but anyway this will be a blog where I basically just review Ya books for fun… as Im quite literally obsessed with books have have been for just over two years now.

Before this I never read books for fun, never even liked books. Back then the concept of reading for enjoyment was basically “why the hell would anyone do that to themselves?”

However, like I said, that was before I first read a book that was for me to enjoy and obsess over like I should belong in a mental hospital.

I got to read my first obsessive book online. I wouldn’t say it was exactly optional, it was more like,’ugh… I have no wifi or mobile data’ That was basically it (gotta be honest).

And that was how it all started, from there it, well it basically brought me into the club of obsessive readers. I don’t regret it one bit.

Right now, if your reading this, well you probably have the same problem as me and you cant stop thinking about the book you Have to read otherwise the world’s going to end!

Yep that my problem alright.

So this was my first blog, I’m not sure how it went (hopefully well) So I hope that if you did read this and are as crazy as me and probably need to be put in an institution because you just love books too much, then please comment and let me know what book your currently reading, and how psychologically invested you are in your new found treasure.

Oh, and if your wondering what Ya book I’m reading currently it’s

Opal, by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is the third book in the absolutely obsessive Lux series, that is an absolute favourite of mine in the Ya book genre.

I will probably do a full book review tomorrow and tell you a little bit about the characters and how amazing some of them are.
